some messages
1Everyone on my team is still doing good. We still do not have shower capabilities, so everyone who has sent baby wipes, we all greatly appreciate it. They come very handy. It has been pretty cold where I am at, but spring is approaching.
2We have a number of females in my unit, we would really appreciate Tampax Pearls (any and all sizes), soft toilet paper, baby wipes,
3Now that we are starting to warm up, the flies are populating. We could use some fly swatters. Also, body wash, under arm deodorant, small wash clothes and as always wipes,
4We will be working out of a milvan and living in a tent. I have 2 female soldiers that would need personal hygiene products, hair bands, hair products, lotions. toothpaste, toothbrushes, bath products, mouthwash. No laundry service,
5The reason why i am writing you guys is because we are located on a very tiny fob. Our px is a connex trailer that is always sold out of stuff because they get a shipment in every 2 weeks and unless u are there when it opens you are not gonna be able to get what u want beacuse the people that dont go out bought it all. Me and my guys are running really low on hygene supplyies.
6Things here in Afghanistan are going well for my soldiers and myself. Times are going to start getting busier as our higher headquarters switches out and we become repsonible for more. As the weather heats up the war fighting also picks up. All my troops are doing well and we really love the packages from home. Everytime a package arrives we rip into them and start handing out the "goodies" it really helps keep the moral up. Thanks for all that you do and know that everything is appreciated by us here in the warfight.
And finally this message from Chaplain Herden, I'm sending my next package to him. Read the last sentence people.
My troops live in small b-huts.
We have 220 volt electricity, live in heated buildings. We would love snacks, especially girl scout cookies. We have plenty of popcorn. Don't send anything needing to be cooked, unless its microwavable. We do have some refrigerators.
I am representing soldiers within my area of operation. I visit different base camps and like to be able to bring things with me.
We would love toiletries. deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, make-up and lotions especially for ladies. Also, if you have any AIRBORNE anti-cold vitamin C tablets, they are great for fighting germs. For the chapel, I would appreciate small booklets from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation that address behavioral problems (i.e. depression, pornography, anger, etc.), thank you very much for any support you can give and God bless.
