The Ozark Society- Buffalo River Chapter has extended an invitation to join them for a full moon float on the Buffalo River from Hwy 65 to Gilbert. The plan would be to set up camp at the gravel bar at Gilbert and shuttle to Hwy 65. We would then float back to camp.
The float would start about 10PM and we would arrive at camp before midnight.

Please note that this is contingent on there being a clear sky.

More information will follow as we get closer to the date.

Also, the Ozark Society will be doing their annual Tyler Bend to Shipps Ferry float (65 miles) June 9-13. You are invited to join in this activity as well. Ozark Society membership is $15 per family. The float includes shuttle fee and food.

I would love to attend the full moon float. the last one I've been on was june of 2006, i think.
Here's hoping we have a clear sky and ample water!

Mr. Richard, will the above mentioned full moon be of celestial origion, or will it be produced from a passing canoe?

You've just gotta love a full moon float. What a neat Ozark Society activity.

Thanks for the full moon planning reminder !
