Hello all,

I'm looking for a boat to do some camping with and occasional fishing. Mainly, I want a boat focused for recreational/camping purposes though. I believe I have narrowed my options down to about 5 boats:

1. Native Watercraft Ultimate 12.0
2. Native Watercraft Marvel 12
3. Wilderness Systems Pungo 120
4. Old Town Dirigo 120
5. Perception Prodigy 12.0

If anyone has any of these boats and/or can offer advice on the pros and cons of each, please do so. I usually float the Buffalo and other similar rivers and want a boat that can hold my gear, handle well, and has a comfortable seat. Thanks ahead!

I'm no familiar with any of these boats. However, Zen just posted that Byrd's Adventure Center on the mulberry has lots of Old Town canoes for sale from a Hundred to Four Hundred dollars.

Can't hardly go wrong there. Get to go paddling now. This would give you the time to shop around for your Kayak of choice.

If you're thinking a "sit-in" model that you can paddle in the fall/winter with a skirt, then get the Pungo, the most comfortable and stable boat around for your purposes. If you're looking for something in a "sit-on-top" style, you will not be disappointed in the Native Ultimate 12....Hands down, the best kayak for what you've described! Stable, easy to handle, comfortable, and more accessories available than you can shake a stick at...
