Michelle, a buddy and I are planning on going to the Piney or Mulberry for a Sat. float. We would be happy to hook up for a paddle and shuttle. We may not decide on the destination until Friday morning, depending on where it rains, then leaving from Mena midday Fri. I will try to post or you can call me @ work 479-394-3456 or home 479-243-2095.

If you are comparing to the Cossatot, below Ed Banks, the Piney and Mulberry are easier, but much different. I haven't been to the Piney in several years, but what I like about it is that there are plenty of rapids and most are different....a very good variety, and one of my favorite places to float. The Mulberry is fun too and can be quite exciting, especially at the right level.......a much easier shuttle than the Piney, and Cold Beer readily available....always a plus.

If theirs water, count on all us single, childless types to be on the water.

It looks like most of the rain so far is along I-40. It barely rained in Mena, and now the sun is out.

I know, been watching it close. it is supposed to storm later this evening, so it may be a case in which everyone will want to go north instead. But i am hoping for the storm. I guess we can know more tomorrow. I have your number. mine is 918.413.3632. Thanks for the invite and i am gonna keep watching for the rain.
