ACC Newsetter Quarterly
As you may have heard the ACC Newsletter will now be sent quarterly vs every other month. This was decided at the last board meeting. What was not decided was what months the newsletter would published. Any thoughts folks? Just curious if anyone has any ideas. The last newsletter by the way came out in early March.

Re: ACC Newsetter Quarterly
Just to throw a proposal on the table:
3rd week of Jan
3rd week of April
3rd week of July
3rd week of Oct
I like starting the year off with a newsletter, but everyone is going to be too busy with Christmas and vacations to work on it in Dec, so, we could "shoot" for second week, but third week of January is more realistic for getting it together.
This means Canoe School info will be distributed mostly via other means due to timing. That's the down side of this proposed schedule.
The April letter "kicks off" summer; the July letter promotes Rendezvous, and can be worked on after July 4 holiday.
Nov, Dec, left free as folks "ramp up" for the Holiday season...
Option 2: Whatever schedule the current volunteer editor is willing to support!

Re: ACC Newsetter Quarterly
I like the third week idea, but suggest
third week of Feb
third week of May
third week of Aug
third week of Nov
I noticed registration for Canoe school opened Feb 22 this year, that would mean the newsletter would come out at the same time registration opened.
Third week of May would give a little time right after canoe school to get some good articles while they were fresh on the brain. Also should be full of trip reports from all the March and April rains.
Third week of August is would contain articles about surf and turf and info on Rendevouz.
Third week of November just happens to be the end of the third quarter. Would have articles about Rendevouz.
Also, I got this thing in the mail about signing up to receive the newsletter by email, I would prefer to not have it mailed or emailed but have it posted to the message board for access. I also think posting it in the general forum would help promote the organization.
Probably a little more than 2 cents, but still only worth a half cent if that.
