Big Piney Creek 4.5 at Long Pool

Drove to Long Pool and read the gauge at 7:00 a.m. It was right on 4.5. USGS gauge is reading 3.54 at 6:45 a.m. This past week it's been reading about 1' different, but it's also been rising and falling. We'll keep watching it. Tough job having to drive to LP to read the gauge, but someone has to do it.

And, we really appreciate it!! Thank you!! I hear through the grapevine that the good folks at USGS are going to check it... We may need new sight-guages callibrated to the USGS more closely... and a new marker explaining the levels there at Long Pool...
