Caddo River Sunday

Post by Jim Krueger » Sat Mar 28, 2009 5:19 pm

Marlo and I, and possibly others will be heading to the Caddo at Glenwood in the morning. At this time I'm wanting to meet at Caddo River Outfitters on the Downstream side of the Glenwood bridge about 10:30 or 45 at the latest. We are planning to paddle from The Swinging Bridge at the Caddo Gap Community to Glenwood, a 9+mile trip. I'm estimating the river will be between 7.25Ft. and 7.50ft. at put-in time which should make for just a wonderful-fast level. We'd be just pleased to have any others join us tomorrow but I should say, as easy is the Caddo is compared to other rivers, it will be at an optimum plus level tomorrow, when everything is considered, skills, river level, water and air temperatures and so fourth, paddlers need to be prepared.
We could use a shuttle if anyone else is interested :)

Best Regards
Jim

Gary and I will see you and Marlo in the morning at your place. Looking forward to our day tomorrow. Hope the sun comes out nicely and gets as warm as the weatherman says. So, Jim, whats for supper afterwards? :D

Karla,

As I retire for the evening, the level has dropped to 7.66ft., and I predict a good trip tomorrow! Stepping in from the porch just now, I
even predict these winds, currently straight from the Great Plains, will slacken overnight, and the sun shine on us :D See you in the morning, we'll visit about supper after I scarf down the fried chicken at 'Lunch Time Rapid'

Best Regards
Jim

Jim: So sorry I missed the float trip. We just got back from paddle Florida ... and did they mean paddle ....
Mike and I were just talking about not getting any of your special hot dogs on a winter float this year .... so, I'm thinking you owe us!
Hope to paddle with you and Marlo soon!
