Thinking about adding a boat

I have a nice Dagger Baja touring yak, and a sweet Wenonah Vagabond solo canoe....so technically I should be happy, right? Then why is it that I feel the need to have an "in between" boat? I have no intentions of serious ww, and while the Vagabond is fine on class I-II, which is all I ever intend to do,and great for overnight/extended river trips, it just seems like a little too much boat for playing around for a day on the Caddo, Ouachita, etc.
IF I were to get another boat, say a hybrid kayak, or something similar, what would be some suggestions to start looking at? I'm 5'5" 135 lbs, female. I am not in a hurry, and hope to pick up something used.

Oh yeah, that's how it starts. I can remember back when I only had two boats, then you want another and another and another. Where will it ever end?????? You will need several more boats in the near future.

If you'd care to join us on a Caddo trip sometime this Spring, I'd be glad to bring Marlo's Dagger Approach for you to try. The Approach has a lot of good attributes since we've had it and taken it on several floats so far, in the meantime, check it out on the web.

I had only one boat at a time for a number of years. Like you I wanted a boat to do everything. This was not possible, so I know own seven kayaks and one canoe. What can I say, I'm a Waterhead!

Waterhead! Good going Jim. it does take some time to collect them. Not to mention greenbacks invested. It's all worth it.

7 canoes - 2 kayaks - 15' oar rigged raft.
Looking at another boat. Won't tell you what my wife told me to do with it.

Roy, you really need a small raft to play with locally!! I own a 17' cat, half a 14' Hyside, a 12' Lightening Bug Star, a 9' fishing cat, and most recently, I bought my bride a 9' bucket boat to R-2 with my granddaughter... but, we're down to two kayaks and a tandem canoe on the basic fleet... You need to catch up!

Leigh, Its way to late for Donald. He's a goner. From what I see and read it's too late for you as well. Give in, go with the flow.

Don't worry, It's a relatively painless process. The addiction to HTP, Crosslink, and Linear plastic is not ever overcome. Royalex and Hapalon is another ball game, still every bit as addictive. Theirs a fine line between us and them, don't forget your roots. It's all in your head. Waterhead that is
