What happend

Post by coolhand » Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:15 pm

I went from around 122 posts and 2 dots to 1 dot and 77 posts. Weard.
One of these days we will be able to run the Cadron without seeing a tire.

Well I guess it's all relative. Ever so often maybe it's a software up grade or a whole new board things change. I know I had multiple balls and several hundred posts at one time. But really, what difference does it make? Balls and post don't you a better paddle anyway

I pruned posts that were over a year old, didnt realize it would impact the number of balls, the number of posts on an account, we all have.

Does that mean information that was in old posts (like how to find location "xyz") is gone and no longer searchable?

David yes it does mean that. The reason for the pruning was not as much for space but to keep the forums down to a manageable number, we were pushing over 126 pages of posts on the general forum alone.

In light of this I will create an archive where posts from the general and rec forums will be moved to after eight months or more. It will be read only but will retain all posts made for future reference.

I will try to go back to a database backup from a couple of days ago to pull the pruned posts.
