OT somewhat: old wooden fishing lures

For you dedicated fishing types: Got some old wooden fishing lures in my dad's tackle box. Can't be older than maybe the late 50's. Any idea of value if any at all? Some in good shape, some not so good. Would still fish with new hardware added.

Can you help me out?

I'm no fishing buff but you may want to search ebay for similar items to get an idea of going prices. I've done that for several things of my folks'.

I'm always on the lookout for the old WhopperStopper's.Hellraisers,Hellcats,and the org.WhopperStopper backrunner.

Figured out that there's a Heddon Chugger Spook and a Smithwick lure (Devil Horse, I think) in the mix. Some of the others may fall in one or the other manufacturer's mentioned.

Price on eBay is really minimal for most things. Think you might have to back to '20's-'30's to get something worthwhile.

When this subject came up I immediately thought of my former boss who has been a collector for years. He said, indeed you can check on E-Bay, check under fishing lures, then go to the completed listings. He also offered suggestions for two books on the subject, one by Carl Lucky and one by Dudley Murphy. Hope this helps.
As an after thought, I too have some older baits and one thing I do know that adds much value to a bait is having it in it's original box. I really only have a very few like that, most were just loose in tackle boxes.
