Cossatot Video/Pictures 3/14-15/2009 - iYak

Post by iYak » Mon Mar 16, 2009 6:37 pm

Here are pictures and video from last weekend on the Cossatot. Photo Gallery http://iyak.smugmug.com/gallery/7620539 ... 6201_MAZvP" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some pictures are taken in burst shot mode, so you can click next to see the sequence.

Hover over the picture to see the menu for original size, click again to go back to gallery. Or just click on the picture on the right for a larger size, then click again to go back. Video's not bad full screen.

Anyone know how to embed a video on the board?

Where were you Saturday when I went through the whole Machine upsidedown and backwards???
Would really love to see it on vid. Didn't swim though...
Met a bunch great folks this weekend and saw a bunch of familiar faces.
After watching Hunter style EVERYTHING, I wish I paddled like a 9 year-old!!!

Great vids and pics Rob.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend on the Tot!!!

CapnTom...

PS... the guy in video # 1 can roll...he just chose not to for the dramatic effect
Did I mention...I LIKE PURPLE SNOWCONES!!!

I can't pull the pictures up at work, but I am going to asume that it is me in the picture or video swimming. While I agree with you if you do not have a roll you probably shouldn't be running through the falls. But that being said I do have a roll it just failed me at that moment . I have been running said falls for at least ten years, and have been leading people down them for at least five years. I stopped counting years ago, but I am sure I have run the falls over thirty times. I have swam out of them three times and will probably swim out of there again some day? But I am not going to stop running them, just because I missed a roll!

That being said I want to also say what a wonderful time my wife and I had this weekend. It was truly great to get to see so many old friends and to meet a few new ones as well . I think ole Bob did have something to do with the great levels we had this weekend :D thanks Bob .

I also would like to say thanks to Heath and Lance ( and who ever else helped) for chasing and dragging my friends Deisel back up the falls . Oh yea thanks to all of the photogs out on the river this weekend even though some of them did not catch my best side I still appreciate it.

Good times, Terry D

Sorry I didn't stop and help you with your roll above the falls.

Hunter talked me into carrying his boat up the falls (his dad trained him well) which caused my brain to overheat and malfunction because I thought it was such a small boat that it wouldn't weigh too much and I could just lug one on each shoulder. When we got to the truck Hunter said "Rob, could you help me get all of this water out of my boat please, it's got a ton in there" :hammer: Oh well, I needed the exercise.

Here are some more pics from Todd Whetstine who was there with a lens. Some really impressive still shots. If you were there Saturday your mug may be there.
