Bob,
I must agree, Buffalo Flows was great, I even ordered a couple of copies to view myself, or send as a gift before Christmas! I do want to say though, AETN is NOT on the air currently to viewers in central Arkansas due to the ineptitude of the FCC extending the switchover of digital T.V., "for six more dang months' with no signal on cable. I have loved AETNs programming for many years, and still do. But what a screw up! You'd think two years would have been long enough for most people still with a pre-1990 T.V. to get squared away with a converter if needed, but no, we here in Benton, on cable service, will not receive AETN from Jan.25th of this year until sometime in June. (SIX MONTHS OF SNOW) They could at least play 'The Indian Movie'...

Worthlessly Yours
Jim

Jim, I have been without AETN for more than a year now. Ever since the tower fell last year. And there is no guarantee we will have reception in June. The pathetic thing is that I live just 3 miles from the studio. And I am a contributor to boot. I could have it if I got on cable or dish but I am too stuborn. I would be willing to give up all the other stations if I could have AETN without having to pay a monthly access fee for something that is free over the air. I consider it poor planning on AETNs part as well.

Richard,

I visited with Allen Weatherby, AETN Director, about this and as mad as I have been with the situation, I believe he and most of the folks at AETN are genuinely unhappy also(probably as livid as myself) We here in Benton and various other areas of Central Arkansas who receive AETN on cable will continue to get the signal through AETNs joint relationship with channel seven, when channel seven finally switches over in June. This is still not a relationship I would care for with our public broadcasting facility to be associated with a commercial station... but learning what I have about the situation, reserve most of my hard feelings for the way the FCC and our government has handled this converter coupon program, and now extended the darned thing, just foolishness of the worst.
Despite all the venom I have for this situation, I can go out in my camper and view my precious 'Last of the Summer Wine' on AETN using the trailers' external antenna. I guess I just have to remember what good programming AETN has delivered over the years when so much commercial T.V. is little more than a "load of poopy pops", and know even this will pass.

Best Regards
Jim
