That trucker isn't relieving himself into the tank...

It's just scheduled maintenance in the green economy. :)

Now that we officially have “muffler fluid” it looks like muffler bearings and blinker fluid weren’t so far fetched afterall.

This post may not be as "off topic" as some of you think.

One vehicle that we're seeing more and more of among boaters is the Subaru - currently the highest mpg, AWD vehicle you can find.

Subaru "says" their diesel is coming to the US, possibly by the 2010 model year. The diesel subaru gets over 40 mpg, and has a tow rating of 4400#, if you want to use a trailer to haul more toys than a small SUV can put on the roof.

Here's the tie: Subaru thinks they will most likely meet the emmisions standards by going to one of these urea systems. So us boaters may end up with one of these urea systems sooner than we think; they're not just for over-the-road truck drivers.

Thanks for posting this; I had heard the term "urea system", but had never seen a good diagram of how they work. I'm not happy about the added complexity, but at least now I can make a more informed decision if the diesel Subie really does come to the US.
Trash: Get a little every time you go!
