Both are in the green and rising (http://www.ozarkpages.com/cgi-bin/stages.pl?ST=level" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). They should have water through the weekend.

Looks to me like without more rain, SFLR has dropped too low for a good float on Saturday to be likely.

For future reference, if you go to that gage link above, and click on the stream name in the list, it will link you to a good description of the stream including put-in and take-out points.

The sections called "S2" and "S3" are the ones floated the most; the bridge that separates these is often called "the culverts". So other names for these sections are "above the culverts" and "culverts down".

When you say SFLR,are talking little red or the Fourche??? There may be some confusion on this post as the Fourche is the one in the "green". I always thouhgt SFLR was the Little Red :?:

Steve, yes we are talking South Fork of the Little Red. Very scenic pool and drop stream, with the longer pools lying in Section 4 which begins at the LoGap bridge. Plenty of videos and snapshots along this creek on my webpage.

On the day Steve S posted, SFLR briefly went into the "green" and was rising, but shortly after that it turned down and dropped back into yellow.

Only Steve can tell us if he was accidentaly reading the Fourche gage, or was it just the timing of the post? In any case, SFLR could probably be "bumped down" if you were just exploring, but wouldn't be that much fun for someone seeking a WW run.
