little mo guage

Post by bignick » Wed Mar 11, 2009 8:59 am

Just trying to find out of the little mo guage is off. Am assuming it is b/c of the amount of rain the area has and is getting hit with.

The Tot can come and go many times before the lil Mo flows. Different watersheds. It might not come up at all this time. It is rare when the lil Mo's running that the Tots not. Not so when the Tots up.

I agree, have seen the tot run several times and little MO not. Also looks like the majority of the rain hit the west side of Tot water shed not much at all on the little Mo. Notice also how quick the tot came up and how the caddo, which has much larger water shed, is slowly coming up. If both had come up fast, I would be suspect of the gauge on the little Mo.

kinda hard to say this time. little radar totals show the lil mo actually getting more than the tot. however ft. smith totals show the tot's eastern watershed getting the hammer.....but both radars show the lil mo gettin a decent bit.....

Just a side note but the I have run the little MO at 5.5' and the water was still clear. as long as it is not out of its banks I should run clear if not we have problems.

Notice Today 7:30 am Tot and the caddo in the blue and rising, if the little MO dosen't get in to the green today I will be suprised, yellow is a definite. Next update will be at 8:45 am
