This Weekend (2-28 and 2-29)

Post by RomanLA » Thu Feb 26, 2009 6:19 pm

I was thinking about coming this weekend, but the water and weather look a little suspect. Anyone planning on paddling the Cadron Saturday and/or Sunday?

Lee Cr., Frog and the Mulberry all just picked up about half-inch to maybe an inch of rain in the past hour. Watch those gauges carefully... NWA could have water this weekend.

As of tonight, gauging by Google Fish, it looks likes the Cossatot got the most. The Mulberry watershed got a good dose, and Fall Creek (flows into Lee Creek) got some.

Should be some good water on the Mulberry for the trash pick up, see ya'll there Saturday morning.

If the Mulberry comes up, I'll head for Turner Bend. With a little luck, I can catch the Cadron on Sunday too. :P

Dutch Cr. bumped up, so maybe Sugar this morning... More rain on the way, or so they say, so we may boat another day...

I'm heading up in about an hour. At this point, I'm planning on the Mulberry tomorrow and the Cadron the next day. If anyone decides to run Big Piney, give me a call though.

Here's my pictures from the Mulberry River and Cadron Creek...that critter in one of them is an otter that ran rapids with us until we stopped for a break!

I thought this one of Patrick was pretty cool...
