My Christmas present from my kids this year was a subscription to LVM, along with a copy of Whitewater Instruction's new Steep Creek Skills DVD. It arrived a week or so ago.

This video is OUTSTANDING. Narrated by Shane Benedict, you'll take a trip down the Upper Green rapid by rapid, and you'll get great explanations for the creeking skills used in each drop. Examples: boofs of all kinds at Zwick's, dealing with fear at - where else? - Gorilla. Lots of good camera angles and demonstrations, with the occasional screw-up thrown in to make a point.

Intro and ordering details here and sample clips here.

The other part of the DVD is a virtual tour of the Green. You'll see every rapid on the run. Nice.

Highly recommended.

Yea, Shane Benedict designs Liquid Logic boats. He has been kayaking forever, well like 30 years, and has been running class V for 20+ years.
Great new websites with fantastic information! 8)
Shane has been teaching for a long time and is very good at it.

Yeah Randy, those video clips are awesome. Great instruction, and you can really get your lines on the Green down by watching them over and over. "Making Peace with Rocks" totally helped my line at Frankenstein. Like Randy said...highly recommended!

I'd like to get a copy to show to our group. Anyone around NWA have it?

Looks great Randy, going to add this one to my collection. Another good creeking video is Legend of the Falls. It is a Corin Addison video and is done quite well.

Cheers, Terry

I watched it last night. It's definitely a good one. There's not a whole lot of instruction, but definitely some good tips that I hadn't thought about. The footage of the Green is definitely nice!
