This gear looks cool, anyone know if it works? I've never heard of the Torayt material it mentions.

Which jacket? I know of a Toray material but not Torayt.

Edit that - I "used to know" of a Toray material. They are now a much larger company that make a much larger variety of fabrics than they used to market and from multiple divisions now. Tell me which one and I will try to find out about it.

It's a probably a typo. I googled it 6 ways from sunday and 2.5 is a version of Toray's Entrant breathable fabrics, but it seems they have many fabrics in that line, so who knows, it might be a new name. I saw a 2.5L, 2.5 DT, 2.5HB, 2.5TM, GII - XTH, 3.0, etc in my search. The Entrant line is supposedly still being refined to attain perfection or so it said.

I still like my Kokatat gore-tex.

Yeah I doubt it's better than what I have already. I was just looking at new gear for the warmer months ahead. Thanks for the research. I couldn't find anything on it either. Never seen anyone on the river in it so that is a clue I guess.
