Richland and Falling Water GOOD TO GO!

Post by Lazer » Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:11 pm

A group of 6 of us ran upper Richland this afternoon and there are NO portages due to trees. There is some wood here and there, but nothing different than normal. Just keep an eye out.

The most notable log is at the bottom of the little Flume type rapid below Green Rock (second crack). The log extends from the right bank and requires boaters to hug the left bank at the bottom of the Flume.

A group of 2 ran from Falling Water Falls to the campground bridge and reported no portages.

Bring more :rain: please.

P.S. a chainsaw for the roads is recommended. We didn't have to clear any new wood, but still lots of leaning and hanging wood out there just waiting to fall.
