I'm signed up for next weeks class. I figure the more practice I get the better off I will be.

Dang, Spanke, has it gone that far downhill in terms of instruction there? I think I'll call and talk to the OCC powers that be and see if they'd like to ACC volunteers to come help with the classes again. I used to do that, and we ran a pretty good class.

I tried to sign up to teach instruction and I asked what qualifications were needed... Turns out I'm way over qualified, but I didn't ever even get an interview or to show what I could do... Shad Face

This is the first I've heard of this whole charade. I will show up and do whatever though. Is it an open session or is it a session where I will be expected to listen to an instructor tell me what to do? Let me know if you have any additional info....
Thanks,

Re: roll clinic put on by the u of a
I'm going tonight trying the same gig I did last time. Just let me in the pool I don't want instruction. The reason they won't let me in whenever I want is that I'm not "qualified" to be in a pool in my playboat. All you have to do to be qualified is work for the HPER. Anyways I'll probably go down there for a little while and try to roll or raise cane, can't do it for to long though, I've got tickets for a concert at 9

With the exception of the fire alarm going off and having to exit the pool and building into the wind and rain, I think the clinic went good for a beginner.

It's a clinic... I paid 30 as a community member and it was worth every penny. Try the practice session in a few weeks; it's free for students.
