Looking to roll at UALR Saturday

Post by David Lewis » Fri Jan 23, 2009 2:31 pm

I remember Lupe saying in a post recently that those hoping to learn to roll at UALR might want to post said intention here to, perhaps, inspire any would-be willing teachers to join in or, perhaps, to draw some onlookers who surely will be in for a laugh (I said that, not Lupe). In any case, I plan on being there tomorrow in hopes of learning to roll my new Dagger Approach 10. Any assistance would be most welcome! :o

Well If time and circumstance permits I'll be there. But I suggest not trying to reproduce any of my moves. I might could be of some assistance, but take anything I suggest with a grain of salt. I can give you something to think about till your next trip to the pool. I don't know for sure which weekend it is but I believe we will only have one Saturday in February due to swim meets.
Later! Bob

I'm hoping to come, but won't know for sure until tomorrow.

My puppy dog is coming home from the vet  (she had major surgery this week) and I want to make sure she's doing okay before I leave her alone...but assuming all is well, I'll probably sneak up there for a bit.

If I make it I'm happy to help.

Cheers,
Heather

Thanks, Heather and Bob, I'll see you there -- or not. If you see a blue boat bottom facing up in the water, please look underneath. That will be me.

Okay, I'm a boat-rolling fool now -- heavy on the fool part. Many thanks to Heather for training me like a pro. I managed to right myself a couple of times -- and wronged myself several others. But I get it. Now I just need to learn to repeat it. Thanks to the ACC for creating this opportunity, to UALR for making the pool available, and, again, to Heather for the patient instruction.

I just want to say again you should feel very good with the progress you made for your very first session, particularly given that you are in a harder than usual boat (less forgiving) to roll. You really did fantastic!

PS - I grabbed your paddle...see email so I can get it back to you!

Cheers
