Re: roll sessions at ualr?
Hi there,
I think both the Wed and Sat sessions should be resuming this week, but we need to wait for Joe or Bob to post to confirm (also even after the sessions resume, any session can be canceled if there is a swim meet using the pool, so always check the board each week to make sure the session will be open).
Just FYI, the sessions are open pool times...there's no formal classes, per say. However, there are almost always folks there who are willing to show newbies how to roll. I suggest posting in advance if you are coming and are hoping for some help learning to roll, as that might increase the odds of having someone there to help you out. Also, if you don't have your own boat and gear, it's better to post that in advance, too. Someone can often bring extra stuff, but we don't unless we know something will be needed.
Assuming you are bringing your own boat, please be sure to rinse it thoroughly inside and out with the hose that someone will need to roll outside the door (and roll back up).
Assuming Wed's session is on, I'm probably 75% committed to coming...I hope to do so, but I'm a bit behind at work, so I'll need to make sure I can get away in time. I'm also not sure if we are still on "holiday" hours which were 5 to 7pm or back to "regular" hours which are 6 to 8pm (and which are easier for me to make).
Anyway, if I'm there, I'd be glad to help you out...hope to see you there some time, if not this week.
Cheers,
Heather

Yup! pools open this evening. I will check in a few minutes to see if we are still closing early. The pool will not be open this weekend as we close at five thirty on Friday and reopen Tuesday morning for regular hours.
I will post times in a few minutes.
