Thumbs up "Ataboy" to Werner Paddles

Thumbs up to Werner Paddle

I make my living with a website, so I am a little sensitive to customer service. I am getting ready to sell a paddle, so today, I sent Werner Paddles an email asking about the history of my "Trip" whitewater paddle and what it had been replaced by and any current value info.

Within 5 minutes, I received an email back with the complete pedigree of my paddle, its retail price when I bought it (and it was), and the current replacement model and current price. That is what customer service is all about. I think when someone gets it right, they deserve an "Ataboy".

The other thing that was pretty cool, was that I sent back a thank you for the great service and got a return email that said "It is easy, Werner is an AWESOME company to work for:-)" Nice to hear.

And, I type this while waiting over 3 days for a response from my satellite tv provider :(

I've never had to deal with Werner on a customer service issue (which bodes well for the quality of their products) but I have paddled several Werner sticks to the bone for several years now and have never been disappointed. I will probably always choose Werner products for this reason.

I've broken one, but it was a bent shaft and it broke at the little seam in the middle (over my face) and I don't really blame the paddle. In fact I'm kinda glad it did break, otherwise who knows what would've happened to the bridge of my nose!

I second the "attaboy" to Werner and encourage anyone looking to pickup a quality stick to at the very least consider them in your shopping process. My only complaint is that they are expensive....but really not any more expensive than any other quality paddle I've seen out there. I've been lucky to have a pro-deal at my disposal for the last 6 years so I can stock up on 'em fairly reasonable anyway....
