Most C boaters do their own. It's pretty cheap with foam blocks and plastic fence post squares. The most expensive part is to buy the thigh straps or the one piece strap some use. the c boater site will have loads of tips. The godzilla is supposed to be a nice conversion. hth, ty

Mike Coogan (Capt Aleve) should be able to help you out. He converted his boats to C-1. As far as I know, it's a do-it-yourself thing.

The information on C-boats is pretty good. The fencerail conversion is about the best idea going. It works, and works well. I've used it.

When setting up the boat, do not assume a seating position. Get the boat stripped out. Find yourself a block of foam to sit on. Grab a buddy who has a couple of brain cells and knows a little about boats and head to the water. Get in the boat. Paddle around and play with moving your seating position fore and aft until you dial it in. You will find the balanced seating position is dramatically forward of where it was when set up as a kayak since you no longer have your legs stretched out in front of you.

Please feel free to IM or send an email through my website listed below if you have any other questions.
