FYI: Cossatot Gauge Info

Post by Renee H » Mon Jan 05, 2009 12:27 pm

Email response from Jaysson at USGS:

Thanks for the heads up. We had someone out on New Year's Eve to fix the problem. A few parts had to be ordered. We're scheduled to repair it either tomorrow or Wednesday (depending on when the repair parts come in). So it's possible that it will be unavailable this round of "good floating weather".

Thanks again. Happy New Year.

So, in other words, w. the rain that is hovering over that area right now, the Tot could be on the rise and we wouldn't know without a visual?? Sweet, well hopefully it will come up. Then all I need is for my so called "friends" to let me know if they're going up.

There's always the webcam to look at. Maybe we could put one on Ed Banks?

Alright Viser, tryed calling you. All the numbers i have are old. Just wanted to tell you i found a 8 foot water fall in Shreveport, and some surfing waves in a concrete ditch. I FOUND WW IN SHREVEPORT!!!!! Well not that much but its only ten min. from the house and we will only need two days of solid rain to be able to run it. Need to do some scouting of the ditch, you in??

Anytime you need a visual on the upper Tot, you are welcome to call me. I'm on the river at Shady, and "usually" what I see is what you get downstream. Week days.....@ work (Mena) 479-394-3456, and ask for Brian, or evenings and weekends @ my cabin on the Tot....479-243-2095, and you'll get myself or Rebecca. Call me. Brian Abbott aka Bozman.
