I am proud to announce that I am retaining my title as Honorary President of the NAACP (National Association of Armadillo-Chasing People).

I initiated the new year by stalking and laying hands upon a foraging armored beasty along the Two Rivers Trail yesterday, with a member of the Humane Society as witness.

If anyone wishes to gain the title of Honorary President, feel free to pursue this undertaking, though at your own risk. Four comrades have traded the title since the organization's founding in 1978 at Holla Bend Wildlife Refuge. New members are welcome.

I shoot the little devils. They have all of the woods and a huge compost pile to forage in--but when they plow (they do plow) my flower bed, I send them to the great grub garden beyond. They belong in Texas!
