Jessica's Wedding (or who not to invite)

Post by Chester » Mon Nov 24, 2008 6:47 pm

Well, I made it through it. I sat patiently, watchiing all sorts of characters eating, drinking, dancing, and eating, and drinking, and dancing, and drinking, and so on (I couldn't get anyone to leave early). The good news is, I have a new son-in-law that can lift 80 lb sacks of concrete into my mixer for me. Te bad news is, I can't claim Jessica as a dependent anymore :x
Enjoy the Wedding pictures here. Some guests (yes, mostly paddlers) were getting :hammer: by too much  RIGHT HERE  if you care to see some unusual characters drinking and dancing, after they ate all the crabcakes and such that I never even tasted. I'll be receiving and posting more unusual shots later.

Kudos to Chester for NOT wearing the hot-pink-and-black paddling shorts. Sorry we couldn't be there. Congrats to the new couple and the families.

A beautiful ceremony and pictures. Congratulations Jessica and Sean.
Gee Chester, didn't recognize you in the suit and tie. You do clean up nicely. Enjoy your life together Jessica and Sean.

Congrats and best wishes for a lifetime of adventure together. Hope to see you on Upper Richland very soon. Cowper and I need help with a log stuck in a rapid. :D

à votre santé. (this should really be a glass of wine, but we don't have that emoticon. I guess I do need the beer guy, though, to stay consistent with the other posts in the thread.)

We all thought maybe Chester had paid a flat fee for the food and drinks, so we just wanted to be sure he got his money's worth.

That moose head was too much. Nothing says "you're family" like a large detached animal head. After it got left behind at the reception hall, several of us tried to deliver it to the wedding bed, but for some reason, Jess wouldn't open the door.

some reason = maybe she knows us???

But not to divert this thread too much - it was Jess and Sean's day, and it was a good one. Good venue, good vows, good folks all around. And we all got the chance drink Chester's wine, and to see our boater friends like we've almost never seen them before (all cleaned up).

Chester, you were quite the gracious host. Thank you and your lovely wife for a memorable evening. The wedding was wonderful, the bride beautiful, the groom was great and the cases of beer and wine that the staff loaded into the car were greatly appreciated!

Best wishes to the new couple!

Evidently, drinking wine heavily makes you want to get your picture taken A LOT!!!!!! :poke:

Thanks for the pictures Renee! The setting for the wedding was spectacular, and I also agree, everyone looks so nice 'all dressed up'!
Best of wishes for the bride and groom!

I still don’t remember # 7 (photo #76). Something about that dress just messed with my mind.

As for number #12, I’m denying it. I say you photo-shopped that one!

Roman, all I can say is, if you ever need a partner in crime, Renee comes highly recommended.

Found some wine in the refrigerator tonight. And Blonde #17.
