Hurricane Creek pics?
Hey does anyone have a link to some good pics of Hurricane Creek (Newton Co.), i.e. major features? I've never done it and couldn't find pics anywhere. Thanks.

Re: Hurricane Creek pics?
I took a few pics on one trip there:

But these are mostly scenic shots - not much of the bigger features. Chester went on another trip and he has some nice video of a few of the drops (including an unexpected carnage moment
).
I think this is my favorite* run right now...unfortunately it takes an awful lot of rain for it to run.
Cheers
* Important disclaimer: while I enjoy the clear torquoise waters, the remote location, the myriad of feeder waterfalls that fall into the creek, and the flurry of about a dozen class III rapids towards the end of the run, other paddlers can tell you that really this is a WAY OVERRATED creek. While it might be MY favorite right now, no one else should expect to think it's anything special at all. It's MY favorite, but that's MY opinion for what I personally enjoy...your mileage will certainly vary depending on what you enjoy to paddle and what you like most in a paddling destination. My remarks in no way are meant to over-hype what is, at best, a boring snoozer of an Ozark creek. [/end sarcasm font]

I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

Here's some video taken from a run done last year. The footage was put together by Phil Choi and Nathan henderson. I'm not sure where their video is...maybe on Youtube?
