Rapid of the Day - 10/23

Post by Big Daddy D » Thu Oct 23, 2008 8:08 pm

I'm a little late on today's rapid because it's my daughter's 9th birthday and we've been celebrating with her. We're going out west to Colorado today to the Lower Narrows of the Cache La Poudre river.

If you've done it, spill the goods.

Circa 2000

Stopped through the Poudre drainage on the way back from a Middle Fork Salmon trip. Don't remember the levels but I think it was a little more that the 2.5ft level in the video. Cowper and I looked at the upper Narrows and watched a few folks get hammered, so we opted to start at the middle Narrows. I was feeling good and continued on down the Lower Narrows with a couple others we met on the middle run. All I remember was fast, splash, where am I?, oh there's and eddy. Repeat a couple times and then your done. :D Then we continued on down the Mishawaka section with some other Arkies.

Need to get back out there sometime.
