Contacts for United States Forest Service

I tried to reach the contacts on several of the projects listed under the National Forest Service projects. I have gotten perpetually busy signals on the phone, and two emails have already bounced back to me. Does anyone know the status of Weindel and Dixon? Remarkably, neither of these are working email addresses. Of course, one may still comment by mail.
