Could someone please tell me what Cadron would be like at 3.5-3.9 I have never been on it but am interested if fun and not too overly technical. Thanks

It is pretty mild. All rapids are short and most are just one or two shelves.

If you can roll your fine, and if you can't it is warm enough to swim.

Also, it is a short run with probably a lot of people tomorrow, so hard to get yourself in too much trouble.

Sounds perfect. Thanks so much for the info. Do you mind if I ask for directions and the name of the "bridge" you guys are talking about. Thank you.

Go to Conway
Go North on Hwy 65 till you get there.

You'll go through Greenbrier, then you'll pass the intersection with hwy 25 (it shoots off a little to your right). Keep going on 65, but you're getting close. You'll cross a river on a big bridge (this is it). Take your next right and follow it as it goes back to the takeout.

You can see a boat ramp as you cross the bridge so you'll know it is the right river.

This is not a "sanctioned" ACC paddle... Only a buncha folks gathering. Of course you'd be welcome to come along! But, you'd always be welcome to join the ACC... it's a great organization and you could meet a fine bunch of people who love paddling and, perhaps, learn a lot... no matter how good a paddler you already are.

Thanks Crane. My brother and I will be there hoping to learn from you guys and gals just how it is done. We are both newbies but love being on the water. We figure just by watching experienced kayakers we can glean some important info that will help us in the future. We made one mistake already getting on the lil Mo at 7.5 in rec kayaks! Strainers and lack of sprayskirts kicked our b___! We promised never again and have since gotten some gear. We certainly plan to join ACC and appreciate all the help the members have provided us by reading on this site.
