Farewell Arkansas!

Post by Scott » Mon Oct 06, 2008 12:37 pm

Well by only a few miles. I was officially hired by the FAA today as an Air Traffic Controller to work in Memphis. I will start working there in April of next year...so you might want to update your life insurance if you are flying. ;)

congrats Scott, we'll miss you. But I imagine we'll see you about as often. To stay in touch with your open boater side, contact Jeff Hoff in Germantown. Great open boater and a great guy. Paddles a Spanish Fly.

Scott, I'm sure you'll have lots of good offers, but know that we are always up for housing you if you head over this way and need a spot to rest your head before going home.

Good riddance. Loser.

P.S. Leave me your UNUSED red boat ( you know the one...HINT* its the project 52 that you neglect ) so that I might show it the proper love this fall..when you're in Memphis not paddling.

:poke:

Your buddy,
Joe

P.P.S. I was serious. Leave me your boat. You know you won't be using it. There is no need for an innocent kayak to suffer unused and alone Scott, put it's needs first!

Scott, congratulations on the job! We'll miss you, but Memphis isn't that far away. You'll have to come back and surf Alyssa in a raft at Rockport every now and then. She has talked of that many times since Gov't Day. She had a blast and is convinced that you could have surfed that wave forever. Good Luck with Memphis!

Scroach in the big city... Watch out for Elvis and if the New Madrid fault slips, get in your boat and catch the big wave down to New Orleans.

Good luck ya doof,

And just want to thank-you for your many contributions to the ACC and paddling community here in Arkansas -- already missing you!

Thanks Scott!

Best wishes and success in all endeavors.

Is she cute?
If she is not moving with ya, I can still be introduced huh?
Get a big place Scott, so we can all come over paddling and crash with ya. Good luck!

I don't think so Chester, I have warned her to stay clear of you...she use to work at Joe's.

I'm looking forward to being gainfully employeed on a perminant basis although it will cut into my paddling time. On the bright side I will be a couple of hours closer to the whitewater in AL and further east.

But until December bring on the rain, I don't have much else to do! :D
