Ok, guys, I sure hope someone can help me. I know there are some good recycling websites out there but google is letting me down currently. I have a busted laptop screen I need to recycle. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

This guy is in Little Rock and recycles computers and electronics. He will even drive to your location if you have a pickup load or more.

The recycling center for Washington county (the one near the new jail south of Fayetteville) takes electronics, but they may charge a fee (at least they used to).

Call your local courthouse and ask if they do a "clean-up event" or day for the city or county. Here in Russellville, the city or the waste management offers a few places around town and the county to dump your hazardous household chemicals/waste (paint, pesticides, cfls, tires, etc) for free. It only happens a couple times a year 1 in spring and 1 in fall.
Good Luck

You know, you could also go to one of the larger retailers...say best buy or Circuit city in your area, and see if they have someone they use for recycling. If they do then they should be able to point you in the right direction....
If they don't then maybe one of the managers would be willing to "partner up" and help either,
A: find a recycling center closeby, one that the retailer could implement into their store policy as well, or
B: start something to do it "in house" ( by in house I mean ship it to a recycling center nearby or somewhere within state )
You never know what you might start until you try. =)

What model laptop?
Check ebay, you might actually make a few bucks. Laptops sell for parts, even with a broken screen.
(Heck I might even buy it, I fix lappies on the side).

I busted the crystals or something along those lines. My boyfriend just bought a new screen for it and now this one is sitting around. I'll probably run by best buy this week to see if they have a recycling center. If not, I'll find one somewhere.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

This doesn't address your problem, but I thought I'd go ahead and plug this organization: Free Geek Arkansas. It is a non-profit org, located just off the Fayetteville square. They recycle your old computer parts and used technology to provide computers, education, internet access, and job skills training to those in need in exchange for community service.
check out their website and give them your old stuff
