Great reminder! Thanks for sharing that video - I used to live in Maine and do miss the snow, not the torrential water damage though.
Swiftwater is powerful, relentless, and predictable to the experienced eye! When the speed of the current is doubled, the force of the water against an object in the current is quadrupled. "the force of the current increases as the square of its speed".
Remember a cubic foot of H2O weighs 62.4lbs!
