Z-DRAG otherwise known as

For years now I have heard the term Z-Drag but had never seen it in action. In fact, I had never seen it. In my mind it took on an aura all its own . . . almost mysterious . . .supernatural . . . knowledge of which was reserved for the very elite.

Then I attended the Mechanical Advantage Workshop at the Rendezvous. WOW! I finally saw one. Was even able to touch it. (The workshop BTW was fantastic)

When I got home, I googled and looked at some pictures and suddenly I began to recognize something familiar about the Z-Drag. WAIT A MINUTE!!!!! This aint so mysterious . . . . Heck! I tie that every time I load a canoe. . .It is just an adaptation of the Trucker's Hitch.
May I join the club?

I think the guy in the third diagram has a rad new rectangular playboat design... but I think he may be anorexic.

I'm on a rope rescue team at work. It's pretty funny at training, because they always choose me to setup the z-drag. In fact, I usually end up doing most of the rope work! lol
