Dale, I hated to see your boat like that. :( Believe me, I know the feeling. I've always bought my wood gunnels at OP Hardwoods here in Springfield. Its hard to find ash stock much over 10 feet long, however. I measured the wood on my Outrage. 12' 2" is the length you're going to need, with maybe an extra couple of inches to be safe. I'll call over there in the morning and see what they have.

There's one other thing: the Outrages' gunnels are supposed to be steamed near the ends in order to bend them into that short arc they have. However, when I retrimmed my Rampage (same shape) after the Beech Creek incident, I just slapped them on. It didn't have that "arkish" look in the ends, but it paddled just fine. Might not have been quite as dry.

Anyway, I'll check OP in the morn.

Terry

Thanks, I had measured 12ft 3in outside, 12ft inside, so that works. Dale

Called OP. 9'+ is all they have in stock. The girl said she would check to see if she could find some ash in the 12'+ range. She's supposed to call me back.
