Tom Kaylor who used to live here in Memphis put the info on AW.
In his notes he said that 10.5 stones was when it started getting boney.
I have run it as high as 7.5 stones and it was pretty washed out.
Here is a post I found from Tom.

I will get a report before daylight Sat morning on the way to the hunting field, but wont be able to post on the board. So if you want me to call you,

PM your number today and when you want me to call ya.
Ive done it at 7 stones also, took an 1:45 to go the 11 miles. It was pretty big and well into the treeline. I would also say 10.5 would be the min.

Randy, I went at 9.25 stones measured on the upstream corner, and it was great. Later it was 10 stones at the takeout.
