Wister Wave update for this weekend September 5,6 and 7th

Well, as of right now, the Dam has shut down the gates. there are approximately 6,800 cf's coming into the lake and 15,000 cf's downstream. Therefore, to avoid flooding the towns below, they shut the gates down until it lowers some downstream. The gauges are showing that it is wide open and running. There is a website that you can look at to check the gates themselves to see if they are open. So, if you are looking at the cf's coming in and going out, it looks like it's running, so be sure and check the gates! I don't want a lot of people showing up and being disappointed with what they see! if you go to the Army Corps of Engineers Wister Lake levels and check the gates (http://www.us" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; army corps of engineers wister lake), I think you should get there ok. We are hoping that by saturday it will be low enough downstream that they can re open the gates. Please be sure and check the GATES!
