Re: Richland
Yep, Susan has been talking with people "in the know" and the road will be fixed but I wouldn't hold yer breath.....
Re: Richland
I have talked to the guys in Jasper several times about this issue. they assure me it is gonna happen in fact hoped to have it done by early fall.
with the new 6 plus inches of rain I"m sure that will create a delay. They tell me they have had a hard time locally because they are having to deal with the higher at beeeeeeeeeesssssssss so have faith I think it will happen... Pam

Anyone gona meet around 10am Thursday to get a run in????
Your only young once but you can be immature your whole life
Re: Richland
If Richland is not too big, we plan on being there about 10:30ish, although if it's real high, a shredder run may be in order. Dale

Re: Richland
What's a shredder run? I bet Bobtail is pumpin :)
Re: Richland
Shredder is a small two man raft, about 11 ft long, 4 ft wide, the Porshe of rafts, weighs about 35 #, the ultimate for big water technical runs. Good for almost anything from 4ft., to 7 ft., ?more on Richland. Dale
Re: Richland
Richland at 7.8, Major runs tommorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Richland
just curious how much does said raft run...and how experienced should I be to run lower richland. I have been on Mulberry up to 4ft, Boxley during prime water, lee creek, and did hogeye run today. I know I am not good enought to do upper richland. Can lower be done in a open canoe, or is to big.
...Well I guess theres nothing wrong with what you say, but don't sell me their can't be better ways..
Re: Richland
Looks like Richland or tributaries will be the order of the day. We may be able to actually bring two shredders with us , so it maybe a classic. Lower Richland will be huge at this level(think Gualey size, but very doable) Dale
Re: Richland
To answer your question, yes Lower can be run in OC, but definitely a step up from what you listed. Dale
