We ended up at OAR - bailed on AU after seeing the melee there Sunday night. Looks like that was a good decision. OAR was not uneventful however. Team S made sure of that. We did witness the "Burning Tent" phenomenon and Ryan met his doppleganger. Wild nights.

Great trip was had by all. Basically had the East Coast Chapter of the ACC on the Nanty and Ocoee this weekend. Thanks for all who helped when I tore a muscle in my stomach guiding on the upper too. I'm doing about 100x better today and trying to get to the point where I can go meet Gustav with gusto...

^^^^^ Actually it was burning tents. One wasn't enough for the AL crew. Note to self - do not leave anything that might be considered a unique combustible experience near an AL crew unattended.

And don't leave anything behind in camp if you don't want Ryan wearing it on his lower half... Wade, I'd suggest that you burn this shirt...

Well, Ryan didn't like his new pair of underwear anyway. The fly was too small.

Great trip! It was nice putting some faces with the names. I had a great time rafting Chattooga Section IV, but I'm still more excited about my Nanty run. :D

When there is too much noise to sleep, try wearing ear plugs. They work great!

I just wanted to thank everyone on this trip, and yes Fish you were right in telling me that I would have a blast; it definitely was a blast! It was a wonderful experience. Thanks AK for spotting me when I swam that one time and leading me on the lines of the Nantahala Falls from the eddie! Thank you Rick and Brad for waiting on me when we paddled, Kevin C. it was great to meet you and paddle with ya, glad I met Renee H., Cathy S., and Monica (don't know her last name). Everyone was fantastic, I definitely need to do a write up as a newbieeeeeeeeee for the newsssletter................ My favorite was the BUMP on the Nantahala River! YYYYYeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa and then the FALLS ohhhhhhhh crappppppppppp made it over until the lower hole sucked me in! Now after paddling 2 days on the Nantee, Sunday came and we jumped in Ryan's raft (THANK YOU RYAN) with Fish as our Guide and then Kevin C. as our Guide, Kim, Lana, Melanie, Chris, and me! Broken Nose and Double Suck were the adventure spots for this group! It was so much fun and again THANK YOU THANK YOU all! Kurt you were a great paddler and driver and I really appreciate ya! See ya all later and I'll get my photos out soon!
Gretchen  I hear the Snake River in Idaho calling at me now!
