We'll see when we get there but i think the upper would be a tad low while the lower would be a great level. I hope adam is up to it after hanging out so late at the bars, I have trouble remembering what it was like to be that young

The gage was heading down at 4:45 a.m. so I don't think the upper will be available.

So is anybody still around for an upper trip? In Little Rock.

Had a great time several groups. Some new to this section, and some new to whitewater period. We had one pretty scary swim at Meeks Falls today, swimmer was stuck in hydrolic below for quite a while. No injuries, but I think some have a new appreciation for whitewater. Looking to head out again tomorrow. Mark if you are out there and interested let me know will try to call.

After a long day in bouts of hard driving rain, dodging thunder and lightning bolts, with maybe a bit too much carnage...7 of us from the Little Mo made our way to the All-American Hamburger Barn in Arkadelphia. Good eats for hungry paddlers! If your travels to SW Arkansas bring you back through Arkadelphia, go East of 30 on Hwy 8 and look for the Burger Barn on the right side behind the Mazzio's Pizza. It sits back from the road so it can be hard to see, but turn right before the Mazzio's sign.

Thanks again to the crew for running shuttle for us late arrivals!

Cheers

but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

Despite my 3 swims, I still had so much fun  on those big waves. At least I made it through rock slide and Meeks with no swims  After a start with the heavy rain and thunderstorms it turned out sunny and nice for the rest of the trip.

Thanks to the ones that assisted me when I swam esp. to Liz and Mike for the 3rd swim where I had to climb some rocks and hitch a ride with Liz to the other bank to hike with Mike through the brush and rocks to get back to where my boat had floated on down stream. I have learned some lessons from Saturday to just swim to shore and forget the boat and let someone else rescue it.

All in all, I am sore today and ready for another adventure. Certainly was one yesterday.

Thanks to everyone for a marvelous trip on the lower Little Mo.

Mike, Heather, and Liz were great to lead us down, share lines and technique tips & their enthusiasm. Karla, Gary, Parker, Minna: thanks for being so welcoming on my first ACC trip. Thanks to Lifejacket, Greg, etc. for getting this together.

It was a fantastic day, great water, memorable paddling companions, just enough weather to give the trip a special flavor.

ACC paddlers are THE BEST!!! What a great group of paddlers and people

Louis,
It was nice getting to know you and meet you. Glad you came and had dinner with us afterwards. Gary and I hope to see you more on our rivers.

I am glad everyone had fun! Sorry if we kinda separated ourselves, but Greg's nephew Forrest brought two guys that had never been on whitewater so we thought we might have some problems, luckily just two easy swims. We were also surprised at the turnout, and thought it better to have a little more room for everyone instead of one big bunched up group. We tried to help where we could. Karla, I am glad you had a great time despite the swims, hopefully you and Gary will come back again. Maybe next time we will also be able to locate Jim and Marlo.

As a side note neither Greg or myself had ever seen meeks that big. Even though the gauge does not show it, there was a lot of water being dumped in on the lower section from smaller creeks. Today, Sunday probably would have been a better level for newbies, but if you would have told me it would have been as good as it was today yesterday before we put on, I would never have believed it.
