Louis, any plans on Sat. or Sun. to do the Eleven point. Gary and I should be coming unless my back acts up more. Earlier in the week, hurting quite a lot. So I am going to try to make it. We will be in a cabin.

DEFINITELY will be doing the Eleven Point Saturday or Sunday, probably Sunday when it's warmer & would be on y'alls way back to Little Rock/Benton. Hope you get to feeling better.

Thanks Louis for a great time. The weather was a bit cool but the company was warm and fun. I feel I improved a bit and my confidence is a bit stronger thanks to you and the group. It took me both Mon and today to recover but feeling better-glad I stopped when I did, though. Ann D

Louis, thanks for getting us all together for a great time with old friends and new ones. Wonderful rivers to paddle there close to home in Missouri. Hope we all can get together again before too long. Love all 3 rivers but think the Eleven Point is nice as it is more secluded. I will try to post some pics in a day or 2. Was nice sitting around the campfire with all of you and visiting in the evening. Great breakfast at Ruby's in the mornings with all the group.
Lets not wait too long for another trip there. Enjoyed everyones company at the campfire, on the river and food in town before and after the river trips.

Thanks to all for the nice comments and the excellent company. Karla, I sure hope you can post some photos.
Friday we had 14 boats paddling Cedar Grove to Akers on the Current River. Saturday 17 boats on the Jack's Fork from Alley Springs to Eminence. Sunday 14 boats on the Eleven Point from Greer to Turner Mill South. Monday three of us did 18 miles on the Current, Round Springs to Two Rivers, in around 6 1/2 hours. Several GPS checks in fast water showed 3.5 to 4.7 mph floating speed, we saw a number of eagles and osprey, AND AN OSPREY SWOOPED DOWN AND CAUGHT A FISH JUST IN FRONT OF US!!! Also saw two deer wading about 300 yards in front of us, got to about 100 yards before they sauntered off. Earlier we had seen an eagle holding a fish in its talons perched high in a dead tree. Friday it rained on the way to the put in and quit just in time, Sunday it rained after the float from the takeout back toward the camp. Lows of 38 - 42 with two days cloudy/windy only gave character to the trip, no problems.
Ann, it was awesome to see your confidence and skill grow. I observed that and your post above was right on target.
