It looks like I'll have to drive myself out there, unless anyone still has room. Anyways, can I get some directions? I've only been to richland a few times when I was little. I'll see everyone there,

I posted this link way back in this thread:

Hopefully that'll get you there. You're aiming for the put in for Upper Richland and you're there.

I don't have the vehicle for it, but with Richland maybe running pretty strong, there might be several boaters out there who would benefit from a generous Falling Water shuttle volunteer for Saturday. With the road closed, that would take pressure off folks to feel like they "have to" go for Richland... My car will barely make it down to Dale's, but I have the time to do it and I bet some others would too.
If someone was going to be hanging out at Richland Campground anyway, they could meet boaters who had "shuttled" down to the landslide area from the Falling Water put-in and run them and boats back up to the other (downstream) side of the landslide. Then a short hike with the boat would complete the shuttle...
Just an idea. Wish I could paddle!'

Joanna and I plus one more plan to come. I know we are a little late replying. I hope that is not a problem.

Hey Fish, I missed last year's halloween party (i was sick, i think) so I was just wondering what sort of debauchery I'm about to get into? I'm assuming I need to bring some camping gear and chilled adult beverages, any other suggestions? (Fire extinguisher? Liability waiver? Personal injury lawyer?)
The time is nearing...

Well, all those are good ideas for both the NW Chapter party (Friday night in Winslow) or the Barton Party (this thread). I'd add "good sense of humor" to the list too. Both parties are "family friendly" in that you can avoid the debauchery easily if you choose. However, if you seek it out (or stay up after all the kids are asleep), you will probably find it. :-)
See you there,
Fish

Just be alert to the key words "propane cannister" and "blow log" being used in the same sentence. This usually occurs late in the life of the blow log when the walls are thinnest. Eye protection is recommended.

After an "incident" a couple of years ago, there wasn't a blowlog last year!! Not sure if that is on the entertainment agenda this year. But as JohnB says, if you hear the two "magic" words, run and cover your

I may have missed the defining blow log moment; though I was on hand for Billy's daring fire crawl a few years ago.

Although I have not yet received my personal reminder this year, I'm pretty sure propane and blowlogs are not on the agenda...
But with enough

, who needs 'em? There's plenty of other ways we can maime ourselves..
