Eric:
Thanks for the wonderful personal invitation. The 800 mile round trip driving is just gonna be too much this time for a day trip. DARN IT!!
Those three classic Mad Rivers would have really put on a show.

Beautiful day! Beautiful time! Great water.. 6" more woulda prevented a few.... bumpy spots?? One of the tourists that flipped at the put in didn't believe that our group was all dry so far.
Great to meet and re-meet all. We both had a blast. Been too long since I did that part of the river. Quinton made BIG progress in his Jackson.

a BIG thanks to all that had encouragement for Quinton
a little special extra thanks to Stephanie, Eric and Richard

Picture perfect day and great bunch of folks to paddle with. Yes, Quinten is doing great with his paddling, he outdid us all. I was able to hone in my maneuvering skills with my Hero and gained some more expertise with some of those rocky rapids. Enjoyed all the company and meeting new folks.

Susan and I had one fantastic day with everyone on the river yesterday. Big thanks to Richard and Roger for heading this trip up. It was an excellent day to spend with some old friends as well as meeting some new ones. Quinton, I was really impressed with your paddling skills. Keep it up and it won't be long we'll be asking you for the tips on paddling. Every once in a while you get that "perfect day" and Saturday's float was just that and more!!!

Re: BUFFALO RIVER-Sep 25-27-STEEL CREEK to KYLES- PICTURES
A big thanks to all who helped make this a phenomenal float! Despite some minor vehicular malfunctions, all was soon in order and went great. Saturday's float was great, at lunch I counted 29 boats. I think 10 were Ozark Society boats and the rest were ACC. On sunday we had six paddlers...Eric Esche, Stephanie, PainterBob, Steve Heye, Pam Ellwood, and Myself. We did from Kyle's Landing to Ozark, registered 13.8 miles on GPS. I swam once, got hung on a strainer that I didn't see till the last moment. Lost my hat (if anyone finds a canvas hat that is green on one side and gray on the other, let me know. Also the boat got away from me in strong current and hung on a strainer, Bob, Steve and got it off.
Altogether, I think I'm starting to learn how to paddle solo quite well. Thanks again to Bob and Eric for the instruction and advice.
Stephanie...I hope to see you again on the river.

Thank you to all who paddled this weekend. The grandkids loved it. I did not take any pictures so if you have some, please share. I am placing them on the original post of this thread. Thank you Karla for sharing yours.
