Jon & Richard, I stopped by Tyler Bend last week. The campgound is in great shape. The normal launch is still in ruins, but the upstream, gravel launch is open.

What about Bob?

I don't know when i'll blow in!.... after dark :30 ,or at first light . 8) but don't wait on me! (if i'm not there i' won't be there)..... this weekend BUFFALO RIVER CANOE (formerly keller's) is getting ready to open shop for the 2009 floating season... he wasn't clear if they are running shuttles or just killing spiders and sweeping off the winter! i painted all his trailers last weekend .

I have a grandson coming with me. Logistically, it would be much easier to come up Saturday morning. If there are others camping at Tyler Bend and need me to be there I can go up tonight. I need to know by 1pm. Otherwise I will assume we will be going in the morning. Either way is fine with me. Saturday means a lot less work.

ok... Sat. No camp.

My tag alonger has something going on today. If it lingers I may have to drop off anyway. :(

Jon,
Do you still plan to paddle our kayak? We are coming, Gary and I. Don't want to bring the boat and leave it on the truck to be stolen if your not for sure going to be paddling it. Here is our phone # 501-315-0503, call us tonight if you for some reason not coming or for sure want the boat or not so we will know to bring it.

I just found out that by going Saturday morning another grandson will be able to go as well. Consequently, I will be coming up in the morning. This only changes my plans for Friday night.
All plans for Saturday remain the same.
Boats need to be offloaded at Baker Ford and vehicles ready to shuttle no later than 11am.

Richard,
Remind me, where is Grinders Ferry is in relation to HWY 65 and if Tyler Bend is at the 65 bridge area?

Will bring the extra kayak if Jon don't show up, is there someone that wants to paddle it. I just don't want to leave a boat tied to our truck to be stolen off it.

grinder's IS at hwy 65.

Tyler is about a mile upstream... turn at the top of the hill, clearly marked by signs.

To get to Baker's is a little tricky. Pass the river to St joe. Follow signs.
