My thoughts were with y'all this weekend. Glad to hear that Gretchen got in one last trip before she goes off on her trip and glad Ryan got to get in on another trip and understands the challenge of hauling wood. Ryan is a great a super nice person to go with and an asset to any group just for his pleasant attitude towards life. Y'all had a really good group to paddle with, but with the weather you had, a small group of stalwarts is what I would have expected. Wish I had been there with you. I would have liked to see the pups enjoy the outdoors as well, but I was not up to it physically. Just 2 hours at the pool did me in for the rest of the weekend. Don't know where this disc thing is going. Good news was that we did see some folks get their rolls as well as others getting very close.

Hope to paddle with y'all soon - Eric

It was a wonderful time and very mystical........................

This is the first trip where I paddled about 15 strokes at the most when Ryan and I put in at Spring Creek in his canoe and then my rafting float was touring the Buffalo on Allan's Raft, taking in the beautiful bluffs, the eagles, the kingfishers..........all the wonderful outdoor natural events! After hearing stories one night about wild Hogs on the Buffalo; I was walking solo down the beach; I thought a wild hog was chasing me, I bagan running and then he jumped at me and I SCREAMED!!!! :o It was Aztec (the Black and white Siberian Mix) THANK GOODNES!

I do not know how Ryan and Painter Bob got all of that wood in their canoes! The Saturday Blaze was perfect and sooooo warming!

Appreciate you; Thank you very much guys for the hospitality I received; it's such a treasure to have friends on the river; ya know, the kind that care about you and your warmth, whether your feet are cold, if you need something warm to drink, etc. Look forward to the next trip in 2009 sometime.

You guys are the best!

Ryan, who took the picture?
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.
