Woah...that would be a hard learning curve. I made the mistake of not even paddling my boat on flatwater, before my first whitewater experience. It made for a long wet day!Cowper wrote: But wait, you said this was their first WW kayaking experience. So doesn't that mean that their experience was increased by a factor of infinity?![]()

A great day Saturday at 3.6ft. About put on time (noon) it was finally beginning to clear some and warm up. Me Cowper, Terri, and Cole with his latest annd wierdest boat, a Spanish Fly, had a non-carnage but fun day down to the Falls. We located and picked up Doug along the way. Got some video and will upload later, maybe after the holidays.

Wait a minute...was it a yellow spanish fly? I could've sworn there was one floating past me somewhere either below BMF or below eye opener maybe?
Well we had some carnage...and it was fairly epic. Ricky has some video of it, I'm betting itll show up soon enough.

No problem. Wish I could have got to you sooner. That was the first time I actually got to see a body stuck in the Machine. You had to be tired after that swim.powrachute_pilot wrote:Yeah, I hope getting to watch my beat downwas payment enough for the rescue....thanks Ryan, etc. for pulling me and my gear ashore after my spin cycle
in the machine. Great day; hope to see the video soon.
I had been sitting on the rock for quite a while with safety set but, unfortunate for you I left my post a few minutes before you got there.
Thanks also to Richard for throwing me the rope after I scurried over to you. It was a team effort.
