Sounds like this trip will be another memorable one!

Eric you sound like your gearing up to live out there (fine and dandy)for a long time- gosh I'll be happy just to be on the water and enjoy nature without crowds around! I shall be riding with you rain, hail, lightning, snow, or shine.......well that never stopped us before - I LOVE ADVENTURE and the unpredictable weather................I always feel secure with this group of paddlers! :D

Painter Bob and I need to start rain dancing! RAIN, RAIN, RAIN

RYAN C. you should come out and join us; especially with the family! It's lots of fun...... Anyone bringing a guitar.....hint "RANDY"?

Keep dancing everyone. I'm going to wash my car & leave the top down. The water's getting very low. Last weekend it was as low as it can get without becoming a real drag :(

How about cooking beets over a hot fire until they smoke. It might be better than a marshmallow.

Keep on dancing!

Look at the extended forcast for Yellville and Mena.

Might be some serious white water on the Cossatot.

Well, the whole family can't come unless there is enough water for my raft. If I have to take my canoe, wife and daughter may have to flip a coin for it.

Ryan - Susan's going to be out of town that weekend if you want to borrow a sea kayak for your wife or daughter to paddle. Heck, they could each paddle one since I'm going to be in my canoe. We've taken first timers down the lower Buffalo in my sea kayak with no problems. Only problem is that they might get spoiled and want their own boats and carbon fiber paddles to go with them after they get a taste of freedom.

Way to go Eric. No one should ever feel they can't go because of equipment or lack thereof.

Thanks for the offer Eric. I will let Sarah know she has that option when she gets back from Phoenix.

Painter Bob: I hope those are rain dances and not snow dances .... quite some moves you've got there!
Going to be a little chilly this weekend .... everyone may be dancing!

WEATHER UPDATE

I have the reputation when predicting weather of being wrong nearly 100% of the time so take it for what its worth. This weekend will be beautiful but cold at night. You will see ice crystals on tents and boats Saturday morning.

Time to pull out the long johns, wet suits, dry suits and anything else that will keep you warm and dry.
It is also the time to put away things made of cotton. Wool and synthetics are in, cotton is out.

We have some decisions to make but I think the final ones will need to be made after the rain comes thru.
