What a great day to be on this float it was There were at least two more groups of kayaker/canoeists along the way today, and another group of kayakers launching as I made my way back to the top to retrieve my truck. Such cool water, and so nice on a hot day.
From my original post, we had ten boaters in our group, I just hate eating my fried chicken though when everyone else brings trail mix, you all stop that!I was especially pleased to entice a long-time friend to join us today who is fairly new to kayaking, I couldn't have been more pleased with the reception he got from fellow floaters along the way as well as the club folks at the Ledge!! Tim certainly noted the roll instruction given, and especially was fascinated with the skill and apparent ease of the surfers and tricksters at the Ledge. I thank you all! I'm hoping he will also join us next weekend.

Enjoyed meeting Tim and he did a great job going over the ledge! Looking forward to him joining us again.

I also enjoyed body surfing through the Ledge with the 2 LA guys. If they read this .. THANKS ... I think it was Adam and John .... why did I buy a boat???? And, thanks to the kayak people at the ledge, for not hitting me with a paddle as I swam through! It really was fun and looking forward to it again. Thanks to Mike B and Lee L for following me over the ledge so I wouldn't go alone! Good Sports!
Marlo, we'll have to go next time!

Again, enjoyed everyone and I'll convert back to the fried chicken and chee-tos lunch!

Uh, excuse you, but that should be "leading me" over the ledge. Who was hollering "slow down"? And we could have done that an hour earlier had you trusted Mike's and my experience instead of holding out for that rescue instructor. But, I understand. I saw how you were twirling your hair while talking to him!

Yes, next time it'll be cold fried chicken for me, too. The trail mix just didn't cut it. I made a bee line for Taco Smell and scarfed that burrito with a vengeance.

Jim, Marlo, it's always a pleasure. Mike, Tim, Karla and all of yas, nice paddlin' witcha. See y'all next week for Surf'n'Suds . . . Burgers'n'Burps . . . Paddle'n'Puke . . . or whatever!

Was a great day with all our friends. When I saw the others body surfing over the ledge, I had to go and get my helmet and PFD to give it a try. That was fun even without the kayak. Jim and Marlo, you have to go with us at surf and turf. Have to try that again at surf and turf if the paddlers stay out of our way. Nice meeting new people too.
Tried my roll at the ledge, not successful this time. I was tired after that.

It was great to be with everyone yesterday - the water was super cool and a fantastic way to ward off a 100 degree day. Tim, Les and Todd became new acquaintances and hope that they'll join us again soon.
