The Sipsey is near Moulting Al in the Bankhead National Forest.It is a designated. Wild and Scenic River. Lots of waterfalls and cool short side hikes. You can check out Al abamawhitewater.com for more information and water levels. It is rain dependant

If the emphasis is camping and not whitewater, Lake Ouachita is an overlooked jewel. Mini BWCA. Particularly the northwest end around Buckville. Lots of islands and coves to chose from. Too bad that section can't be designated wilderness.
